ABOUT JIM
I was born and raised in Texas City, TX., located about 15 miles north of Galveston, TX. I've been involved with photography ever since childhood. In 1983, I enlisted in the U.S. Navy and entered their renowned photography school in Pensacola, FL. I spent the next 2-1/2 years performing an assortment of photographic work for the military, including portraits, special events, medical, and documentary. Following my departure from the Navy, I devoted the next six years of my life to photojournalism for two Texas daily newspapers. During this time, I began my wedding and portrait photography business. My studio is located in Dickinson, TX., and I serve the entire Houston metropolitan area. My wife, Alma, and I have two children, 13-year-old Erik and seven-year-old Anthony. Alma is a professional wedding floral designer - owner of "The Petal Bucket Floral Designs" - and we share the same retail location.
